Wolves fans react as club reportedly battling Liverpool and Everton to potentially massive signing
A report from Spain claims that Wolves, Liverpool and Everton are the ‘best-placed clubs’ to sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona. The Brazilian is one of a number of Barca players that need to be sold to help their financial issues. Wolves fans have reacted to a potential Coutinho arrival.
Coutinho, 29, is on the fringes at Barcelona having only clocked up 14 appearances last season. Joining the club after 99 goal involvements in 201 Liverpool games, he has really struggled to live up to the hype – and transfer fee. In more than three seasons, he has played just 90 times.
What have Wolves fans said about Coutinho?
A report from SPORT says Liverpool, Everton and Wolves are leading the race to sign the ex-Anfield star. Another report says that interested parties will have to spend a whopping £43million to sign him. His contract is believed to be worth a whopping £330,000 a week at the moment.
Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the possible signing of Coutinho this summer. Many believe that the playmaker would be an incredible bit of business despite his huge asking price and wages. One fan even says he would build chairman Jeff Shi a statue if he gets Coutinho.
