Wolves fans discuss Bruno Lage's comment, as Tottenham continue to pursue Adama Traore

Wolves gaffer Bruno Lage says he expects Adama Traore to stay at Molineux despite reported interest from Tottenham – and Wolves fans are delighted.

Numerous reports claim that Traore is a target for Tottenham before next Tuesday’s deadline. A loan-to-buy deal worth £40million is being touted.

That is according to The Telegraph. Another report from 90Min suggests Spain star Traore wants a reunion with Nuno Espirito Santo at Spurs.

But speaking after Wolves eased past Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup 4-0, Lage responded to a question regarding the future of Traore.

The new Wolves manager was asked if he sees Traore remaining at Molineux beyond next Tuesday’s deadline. He said: “Yeah, I think so.”

What do Wolves fans think as Lage dents Tottenham Traore move?

While Traore might not be the most efficient in terms of end product – he is still loved by Wolves fans. That is because he offers much more than stats.

Tottenham fans will be discussing whether Traore is the man for them, with his goals and assists from 20-21 poor. Just three goals and three assists.

In his 133 games for Wolves, he has just 10 goals and 18 assists. But Wolves fans know his pace, power, dribbling and strength that make him crucial.

So, having heard Lage say Wolves are confident he will remain – they are happy. One fan responded by saying he is worth more than the money.

One fan, though, is not so confident – claiming “That’s him 100% gone then.”
