Arsenal might be keen to tie down the future of Bukayo Saka in the coming weeks, but on-loan defender William Saliba is apparently next in line to meet with Edu and co.
The Athletic reported today that Arsenal want to hand Saka a new contract after his explosive form this season has seen him become one of the most talked about players in Europe. Of course, ask any Arsenal fan, and they’ll probably tell you that the club should just give Saka whatever he wants.

However, when it comes to Saliba, things are not as straightforward. The Frenchman has been called up by France this week for the first time off the back of some excellent performances in Marseille. And according to Goal, Saliba and his reps now want a meeting with Arsenal to thrash out his future.
It’s claimed Saliba wants to speak to the club about his future. At the moment, Ben White and Gabriel are Arsenal’s first choice central defensive partnership. With Saliba playing so well in Marseille, he is keen to find out if he’ll be featuring regularly.
TBR’s View: Saliba Will Likely End Up Leaving Arsenal
Into a third loan spell, yet to actually play, and with an entourage that appears quite pushy behind the scenes, you feel that this is only going to end one way.
For Arsenal, his form with Marseille is a big bonus. As is his call up to the France squad. All this does is add value to Saliba and if the Gunners want to cash in this summer, they’ll be able to demand their money back plus interest.
Labelled as ‘extraordinary’ by current teammate Matteo Guendouzi, it does appear that Saliba is finally showing the form which initially had Arsenal and their fans so excited.
