With only one signing made so far this window, the Celtic fans are getting jittery with every minute that passes towards deadline day.
Now that the speculation surrounding Sydney van Hooijdonk has ended, the supporters will be looking around wondering just where the next signing is coming from.
Reports suggesting that Adam Idah could become a Celtic player hit the headlines this morning so there at least could be one player on the way.
With the hopes of any announcement dwindling in the eyes of the fans, journalist, Roger Hannah, believes that Rangers’ recent moves will spark movement in Glasgow’s east end and has delivered an update that will give the supporters hope that deals will be done before the end of the window.
Hannah said [Clyde Superscoreboard], “That’s one of the reasons I think Celtic will make moves before the window closes on Thursday night. The board aren’t daft.
“They are operating to a policy that’s brought them huge success in recent years and trying to stick to that policy.
“Sometimes, that can be a gamble, and sometimes gambles backfire. I think the Celtic board are smart enough, they will know they need to get a couple of bodies in before Thursday night.”
It is widely accepted that Celtic needs a striker, a left-back and possibly a goalkeeper in this window. The recent injury to Greg Taylor has pressed home the need to get a replacement full-back.

With Kyogo Furuhashi losing his goalscoring touch then the Hoops fans will be hoping that the deal to land Idah will go through.
And let’s not forget Joe Hart’s contract is running down. Brendan Rodgers will need to address the goalkeeping position too but whether that will be done before Thursday’s deadline is anyone’s guess.
With just over 36 hours of the transfer window to go, the speculation surrounding possible Celtic targets is expected to ramp up as the fans demand more movement from the club.
