One of Enzo Maresca’s summer signings is already looking to leave Chelsea in January just six months on from his arrival in West London.
The West London club are looking to slim line Maresca’s squad this month with TBR Football learning that Chelsea are open to offers for several players this month.
The Blues are keen to bring in another central defender, however, they will likely need to offload a few before adding other options.
One of the players who could leave is someone who Chelsea paid £12 million to sign only last summer as he wants to play more regular football.

Why does Renato Veiga already want to leave Chelsea?
Renato Veiga wants to be playing regular football ahead of the 2026 World Cup and may feel he needs to leave Chelsea for that to happen, according to the Telegraph.
The defender wants to cement his spot in the Portugese national team and will know that right now he is not playing enough football.
Veiga has agreed to join Borussia Dortmund this month and the German club are now keen to secure an agreement with the Blues.
There had been talk about Dortmund signing him on loan, but Chelsea will only allow him to leave on a permanent deal.
The West London club are also demanding in excess of £20 million to sell him this month and the possibility of a loan move has been ruled out.
How many starts has Renato Veiga made for Chelsea?
Despite Veiga’s ability to play centre-back, right-back and midfield, the Portugese international has failed to find a place in the team.
The 21-year-old has made just one start in the Premier League and his only meaningful minutes are coming in the cup competitions.
| Apps | Starts | Goals | Assists | |
| Premier League | 7 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Confrence League | 6 | 6 | 2 | 1 |
| Conference League qualifiers | 2 | 2 | 0 | 0 |
| EFL Cup | 2 | 2 | 0 | 0 |
| FA Cup | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 |

Veiga faces strong competition for a spot in Portugal’s team, although, during the last international break in November, he started in both Nations League matches.
