Where Harry Kane ranked Ange Postecoglou in the list of best coaches of 2023

Harry Kane may not be playing for Tottenham Hotspur at the moment, but he seems to rate current Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou highly.

In fact, the England international striker, who joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, thinks that Ange Postecoglou was the third best manager in the world in 2023.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was voted as The Best Fifa Men’s Coach 2023. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss was Harry Kane’s number one choice.

No surprises there at all. After all, Guardiola led City to Premier League, UEFA Champions League and FA Cup success last season.

Kane’s second choice for the manager’s award was Luciano Spalletti. Again, we should not be surprised. 

The Italian manager led Napoli to the Serie A title last season. It was the Naples club’s first Scudetto since 1990 and their third ever.

The Bayern striker’s third choice was Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou. The Australian was shortlisted for the award due to his exploits with Celtic last season.

Postecoglou led Celtic to Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup success last season.

The Australian has started his tenure as the Tottenham head coach strongly. Spurs are playing wonderful football and are very much in the race for the Premier League top four. The players like him as well.

Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table with 40 points from 21 matches. The North London club are five points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played 20 games.

Harry Kane is doing well at Bayern Munich. The England international striker has scored 22 goals and given five assists in 16 Bundesliga games and has scored four goals and given three assists in six UEFA Champions League matches so far this season.

Bayern are aiming to win the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League this season.
