TBR Football understands Newcastle United will look to conclude the signing of Yoane Wissa as Brentford close in on his replacement.
Brentford are breaking their transfer record to bring in Dango Ouattara after talks with Bournemouth finalised a deal worth £42.5million, sources have confirmed to TBR Football.
We understand that Ouattara has already agreed personal terms, and he is having his medical in West London on Friday.
As we revealed earlier in the week, the deal for Ouattara is key for Yoane Wissa’s impending move to Newcastle. We understand that Wissa has already agreed personal terms with Newcastle, and the plan is for him to travel to the North East in the next 48 hours.

The Bees are also interested in signing Arnaud Kalimuendo of Stade Rennes as Keith Andrews looks to replace Bryan Mbeumo and now Wissa in the final weeks of the transfer window.
Exclusive: Newcastle to finalise deal for Yoane Wissa
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has exclusively revealed that Newcastle expect to formalise the signing of Wissa in the next 42 hours.
“Getting Ouattara over the line was the key to Wissa – he has been waiting for this deal – both these deals are set to be concluded over the weekend.
“Wissa coming in is a key for Newcastle, and it will end a huge week for Eddie Howe after the deals for Malick Thiaw and Jacob Ramsey.
“Newcastle insist that Wissa will have no bearing on Alexander Isak’s situation. Newcastle are delighted with how this week is playing out.”

Alexander Isak has been on Liverpool’s radar throughout the transfer window, with the ongoing saga dominating the headlines at St James’ Park.
As widely reported, Isak has downed tools for the Magpies as he attempts to force through a transfer to the Premier League champions, but Eddie Howe will not sanction the sale of his star striker until suitable replacements are through the door.
Wissa has also refused to participate in first-team training at the Gtech Community Stadium as the Congo international pushes for a Newcastle move.
Newcastle want to sign another attacker after Wissa
The narrative emerging from St James’ Park this summer is that the Magpies will not entertain the prospect of Isak’s sale until two new attackers are signed.
Nicolas Jackson would move to Newcastle if a deal can be agreed with Chelsea, although there are concerns in the North East about whether the Senegalese international is of the required quality to lead the line.

However, the Magpies are signing Jacob Ramsey after a £50 million fee was agreed with Aston Villa, and the 24-year-old could be the second attacking signing, alongside Wissa, which could put an end to the prolonged Isak saga.
Isak could very well remain at St James’ Park beyond the 1 September deadline, but the widespread speculation and the player’s behaviour has cast a cloud over Newcastle before a ball has been kicked this season.
