- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran looks set to head out the door this summer and Chelsea have held talks over signing the Colombian striker.
Enzo Maresca is expected to bolster his options upfront over the coming weeks as Armando Broja is likely to leave Stamford Bridge, with Wolves, Everton and Southampton keen on the Albanian.
A move for Benjamin Sesko is off the table for the Blues as the Slovenian striker is set to stay at RB Leipzig beyond the summer.
TBR Football understands Aston Villa have placed a £25m asking price on Jhon Duran‘s head as they look to move the Colombian on this summer.
The 20-year-old has been made available to leave Villa this summer, but TBR can confirm that his move is not related to the club’s desire to raise cash ahead of potential Profit and Sustainability concerns.

Aston Villa set Duran price tag as Chelsea hold talks over move
Villa are in talks to sell Douglas Luiz to Juventus and his move has been brought about because of concerns over meeting their P & S targets.
However, Duran’s likely exit is down to Villa boss Unai Emery believing they should move on from him. Duran was first made available in January when Chelsea first looked at a deal, and the West London club remain keen and have held talks this summer.
There is also interest from the continent and it is believed the likes of Roma and Monaco are amongst the clubs to show an interest.
TBR has been told by sources with knowledge of the situation that Villa want £25m for Duran, with the added possibility of bonuses and sell-ons included too.

Duran not in Emery’s plans at Villa
Despite being regarded as a player with plenty of potential, Duran has found opportunities hard to come by under Emery.
The striker has managed just three starts in the Premier League since making the switch to Villa Park back in January 2023.
That’s largely down to how pivotal Ollie Watkins has become under Emery at Villa but it is also apparent Duran doesn’t feature in the Spaniard’s long-term plans.
