TBR Football can exclusively confirm what Chelsea sources are saying about Cole Palmer’s future amid recent links with a number of big Premier League rivals.
In recent days, speculation has emerged linking Palmer with a move to the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
Palmer has largely impressed since moving to Chelsea from Manchester City for around £40million in 2023,
The 22-year-old has made a real name for himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting young attackers.
However, neither Chelsea nor Palmer have had a great second half of the campaign, with the player getting no goals and just one assist in 18 games.
This has led to speculation linking Palmer with a move to the likes of Liverpool and Man United, and TBR Football can now share what the player’s thoughts are.

Cole Palmer ready to step up as Chelsea determined to keep him amid Liverpool and Manchester United rumours
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Cole Palmer is fully aware that he hasn’t been doing well in recent months.
Indeed, Palmer feels he hasn’t stepped up – but he is convinced he can and is determined to do so for the rest of the year and beyond.
“Likewise, Chelsea have absolutely no intention of letting Palmer go,” Bailey told TBR Football. “They don’t feel he’s a million miles away and he’s aware of that.
“Even with the likes of Kendry Paez and Willian Estevao set to arrive at Chelsea, Palmer knows he needs to step up and his people say he’s ready to do so.
“Chelsea will be active in terms of outgoings but Palmer isn’t one of those who’ll be cast aside.
“Indeed, people at Chelsea feel he could play a part in attracting Liam Delap, they know each other well from their time together at Manchester City and that can only help.”
What Enzo Maresca has said about Cole Palmer form
Despite Palmer currently being in a goal drought, he has had more shots – 41- than any other Premier League player.
Maresca, speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League meeting with Everton, said he believes Palmer’s dry spell is a “mental thing”.
He told reporters, via BBC Sport: “It’s not tactical or technical. Cole is still the player who scored 14 goals in 20 games.
“The style is the same, the manager is the same, the club is the same. Nothing has changed around Cole. It’s just mentally in this moment.
“You can see he’s a little bit worried because he wants to help the team. You can see he’s struggling a bit on that.
“But he showed how happy he was after Fulham. It’s just a matter [of whether] we can win games. For sure he’s going to score goals.
“If you go back game by game, he had at least every game one or two chances, so it’s not about how the team is playing.”
Palmer is a top talent who has been likened to Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola and it looks as though he’s not going anywhere for the time being.
