Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie is among a number of players who could leave the Italian club in January, amid links to Tottenham and Arsenal.

McKennie has been on the radar of Tottenham for some time now. Reports recently have suggested that Fabio Paratici remains a big fan of the American, albeit there is some uncertainty from Antonio Conte.

And according to reports from Tuttomercoweb this weekend, McKennie could well be available in January. It’s claimed that Juventus will look to move certain players on if they can in the winter window. McKennie, it seems, is one of them.

News of McKennie’s availability will no doubt perk interest. Just a week ago it was claimed Arsenal were also watching McKennie. The Gunners are expected to be active in January. Their excellent start to the season is likely to see the board back Arteta further.

Dubbed ‘extraordinary‘ by DomenicoTedesco, McKennie is thought to be valued by Juventus at around the the £20m mark. That figure could well tempt Spurs or Arsenal, given the current market.

Juventus are having a nightmare season over in Serie A. Sitting seventh, there is pressure building on manager Allegri. And the notion of refreshing the squad in January could see McKennie sold on.

TBR’s View: Weston McKennie could be worth a punt for Tottenham

It’s hard to gauge how well McKennie might do for Tottenham. He has produced some good performances for Juve at times but then you have to question why they’re so keen to sell as well.

However, Tottenham do need more depth. And the last two buys from Juve have worked out fine. Fabio Paratici is clearly a big fan as well. In the end, it might come down to how much Conte trusts Paratici.

Conte has made his feelings known on getting new players. But whether he considers McKennie to be up to scratch, is another question entirely.
