West Ham still want to sign another striker and now plan to move for £25m ‘phenomenon’

West Ham United have been one of the biggest spenders in Europe this summer transfer window and they haven’t finished their business just yet.

The Hammers have spent around £123m so far with Crysencio Summerville’s transfer from Leeds perhaps the statement signing.

After adding Nicolas Fullkrug to Julen Lopetegui’s ranks, they’re still keen to sign another forward and with that said, it’s thought they’re now planning to move for highly-rated Englishmen on the continent.

West Ham plan to move for Tammy Abraham

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, West Ham United are plotting a move to sign Roma striker Tammy Abraham, who has been labelled a ‘phenomenon’ (All Football).

Abraham wanted a move to AC Milan earlier this summer but his wages were an issue for someone who’d be back-up to Alvaro Morata.

The former Chelsea man is thought to be up for sale and a bid of around £25m would be enough to seal the deal.

Though, at this stage, it’s not yet clear if West Ham would be willing to outlay a sizable sum on another forward.

One of West Ham’s issues is Danny Ings who is refusing to leave which is why a loan is something they are looking at.

West Ham remain interested in Jhon Duran

TBR understands West Ham remain keen on Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, though, any forthcoming deal would likely be a loan.

The Hammers were in talks to sign Duran on a permanent before moving for Fullkrug but were put off by his £40m price tag.

With deadline day now fast approaching, perhaps Villa will allow the 20-year-old to depart on loan, rather than keeping a player who Unai Emery clearly doesn’t fancy.
