West Ham ready bid for £12.5m striker on Arsenal, Newcastle and Spurs radar - report
West Ham United have prepared a formal bid for a striker on the radar of Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenham, according to reports.
The Hammers, the Gunners, the Magpies and Spurs have all been linked with Arthur Cabral in recent months.
Goal.com claimed in December that West Ham, Newcastle and Barcelona were keeping tabs on the Basel striker.
That followed on from reports in October that suggested Tottenham were looking to sign Cabral too.
In late December, Jeunes Footeux claimed the 23-year-old had caught the eye of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
But now, it looks as though West Ham are going to steal a march on Arsenal, Newcastle and Spurs.
Goal.com claims the Hammers have told Cabral’s representatives that they’re submitting an offer before next Thursday.
Basel reportedly want 15m euro (around £12.5million) for their player’s services.
Meanwhile, Cabral is apparently after 2.5m euro per season, or around £40,000-a-week.
The striker has an impressive record for Basel this season, with 27 goals and eight assists in 31 appearances.
He also made the Brazil squad for their latest World Cup qualifiers, though he’s yet to make his debut.
