West Ham United and Crystal Palace are now the two clubs most keen on signing Isaiah Jones from Middlesbrough.
Journalist Dean Jones told Give Me Sport that the London rivals are jostling to land the 23-year-old right-sided Englishman.
Jones has played at right wing-back but also further forward, as per Transfermarkt, which underlines his versatility down that flank.
He has a new manager in Michael Carrick, as the legendary Manchester United midfielder takes his first steps into management.

West Ham keen on Jones
The journalist said: “It would be a nice addition.
“Palace and West Ham have been following Isaiah Jones most closely.
“He hasn’t been quite at his best recently.”
It remains to be seen how Carrick gets the best out of Jones, who also drew praise from another United legend in the shape of Wayne Rooney last season.
Jonathan Woodgate is back at Boro as a coach alongside Carrick, and called Jones ‘so quick’ last season, and praised his relentless workrate.
Boro beat Spurs 1-0 in the FA Cup in March and on the night, commentator Guy Mowbray and pundit Danny Murphy were both blown away by Jones, telling BBC Sport (10pm) that they had been impressed.
“Does he ever stop, Isaiah Jones?!” said Mowbray.
“Brilliant, I love his work ethic, his desire to get back and track runners and do the job,” added Murphy.
