West Ham have a trump card in reported £34m chase with Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton also keen - TBR View
West Ham United are one of a number of Premier League clubs reportedly interested in signing Lazio attacker Joaquin Correa. The Argentina international has enjoyed another excellent season with Lazio – and West Ham might just have a trump card in their bid to win the race for Correa.
Correa, 26, has been excellent for Lazio under the guidance of now-Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi. Last season, he scored 11 goals and created six more in a brilliant campaign for the Serie A side. West Ham are now interested in signing him as they embark on Europe, but they are not alone.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Tottenham are battling West Ham for the £34million-rated star. Meanwhile, Solo La Lazio say that Arsenal and Everton have begun talks over a move. But the Hammers might just have a trump card up their sleeve to land Correa – in the form of Felipe Anderson.
Lazio want Anderson back, Correa swap for West Ham?
Il Messaggero say that Lazio want to lure Anderson back to the Serie A club. The Brazilian has not had a good time at West Ham and having been allowed to join Porto on loan, he struggled with the Champions League side. Now, the Hammers are likely to want to offload Anderson this summer.
Lazio want him back. No surprise really, given he produced 73 goal involvements during his 177 Lazio outings. The fact Lazio – who have a new manager in Maurizio Sarri – want Anderson back can help the Hammers. Including him in a deal for Correa would suit Lazio.
While Lazio would not get the money they expect to receive for Correa, they would surely still get some cash for his services. Including Anderson a bit of cash for Correa would surely hand West Ham a massive advantage over their rivals – given it suits the Serie A side.
