West Ham United have been fairly busy in the summer transfer window in recent weeks and it doesn’t look as though they’re done yet.

The Hammers have already signed three new players this summer, bringing in Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman.

West Ham have also been linked with the likes of Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo, Villarreal’s Alexander Sorloth and Al-Ittihad’s N’Golo Kante, to name but three.

Now, the Hammers are reportedly thinking of making a move for a “ridiculously good” defender whose club seems willing to sell at a significant loss.

West Ham plotting move for £10million-rated Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The player in question is Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has been linked with West Ham long-term.

According to Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils are eager to replace Wan-Bissaka with Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui.

The Hammers are also reportedly keen on the Morocco international, but Wan-Bissaka seems to be the second-choice option if they can’t sign Mazraoui.

West Ham could potentially land Wan-Bissaka for just £10million as his contract runs out next year. This means the Red Devils would make a £40million loss.

West Ham must pounce on Wan-Bissaka opportunity

Wan-Bissaka for £10million would be an absolute bargain for West Ham.

He is a proven Premier League player who, at 26 years of age, is only just entering his prime as a full-back, and has earned huge praise from his peers.

Wan-Bissaka made 30 outings in all competitions last term, of which 26 were starts, as he helped Erik ten Hag’s side win the FA Cup.

He would be an outstanding acquisition for the Hammers, so it will be interesting to see if they do go on to make a bid in the coming weeks.

With Man United seemingly willing to sell, West Ham will fancy their chances of getting a deal over the line both player-side and club-side.
