West Brom are amongst a raft of sides interested in signing one Newcastle United starlet in the transfer window, with the Chronicle reporting that his list of admirers goes into double figures.
Matty Longstaff has had an intriguing time since breaking into the Magpies’ first-team. He scored on his Premier League debut.

However, the 21-year-old has only made 10 starts in the top flight. And according to the Chronicle, he is now heading into the final year of his contract.
Nevertheless, a long list of clubs are now hoping to take him on loan. The Chronicle reports that West Brom are interested.

Meanwhile, Norwich and Anderlecht also want Longstaff. In fact, the report notes that there are thought to be at least 10 clubs monitoring his situation with Newcastle accepting that he needs to play regularly next year.
Coup for West Brom if they can lure him away in transfer window ahead of Championship return
Longstaff has not had the best time with Steve Bruce’s side. He only played five times in the Premier League last year.
But it would still be a potential coup for the Baggies to land him on loan. He has shown glimpses of his quality when he has featured.
It was not that long ago that Newcastle were seemingly working incredibly hard to stop him leaving on a free. The Telegraph suggests that he was offered more than £20,000-a-week on Tyneside.
The report does note that Newcastle are open to letting Longstaff leave. But the links with a loan move hints that they hope to agree a new contract with him before he leaves.
That perhaps highlights that the Magpies are not ready to throw in the towel with the academy graduate.
With that in mind, he could potentially be an exciting addition for West Brom as they look to make an immediate return to the top flight.
They have already lost several midfield options this summer. The likes of Conor Gallagher, Okay Yokuslu and Ainsley Maitland-Niles were only at the Hawthorns on loan.
But judging by the levels of interest, it is not going to be a straightforward chase for West Brom.
