Sam Johnstone is stalling on signing a new West Brom contract amid interest from Tottenham – and Baggies fans have reacted on Twitter.
Johnstone, 28, was excellent for the Baggies last season. But even the England international failed to stop West Brom from suffering relegation.
His form, though, did see him earn a place in England’s Euro 2020 squad. He could well be a part of the World Cup side that goes to Qatar in 2022.
However, playing in the Championship might hamper his chances. Johnstone is out of contract next June, and The Sun say Tottenham are keen.
Indeed, the report also states that Johnstone is stalling on a new deal at The Hawthorns. It is said he is focusing on getting the Baggies promoted.

Johnstone to Tottenham: What do West Brom fans think of the report?
Johnstone could be decided to wait on penning a new deal because West Brom could easily return to the Premier League at the first attempt.
After six league games, the Baggies sit top – unbeaten on 14 points. New manager Valerian Ismael is likable, and has made some top signings.
Alex Mowatt on a free is a real highlight. He already has two goals and an assist in six games. Plenty to tempt Johnstone into signing a new deal.
If he was not tempted, he simply would not sign a contract and leave on a free. But West Brom look good for promotion, and it might convince him.
West Brom fans have reacted to the reports that Johnstone is delaying a move to sign on as Tottenham lurk – and it is a mixed feeling.
