West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in bringing Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle back to The Hawthorns this summer, and Baggies fans are excited on Twitter.
The 28-year-old striker starred for the Baggies last season in the Championship, scoring an impressive 24 goals in 41 outings as the Midlands outfit went within an inch of promotion to the Premier League.
Despite scoring against Aston Villa in the play-off semi-final first leg, the Baggies were knocked out by Villa who went on to beat Derby in the final at Wembley and return to the Premier League at the third time of asking.

The Telegraph claim West Brom are not the only side interested in ex-Crystal Palace striker Gayle, though. Indeed, Leeds United and Stoke City are also interested in Gayle, who was part of the Newcastle promotion side in 2017.
The report also claims that Gayle is ‘upset’ at Newcastle, after the Toon chose to give new £40million signing Joelinton the iconic number nine shirt – which had become available again following Salomon Rondon’s exit.
West Brom technical director Luke Dowling said earlier in the window that West Brom would not be able to afford Gayle’s wages, considering he is earning £40,000 a week (Spotrac) at Newcastle.
West Brom fans reacted to the news that the Baggies are reportedly keen on bringing the striker back to the Midlands from Newcastle this summer, and many are desperate to see their side get a deal done for Gayle.
