Tottenham are preparing for the tough task of Nottingham Forest this weekend and Antonio Conte has been putting his players through their paces in training.

The behind the scenes videos of Tottenham training have become more and more intriguing to watch since Conte took charge and it was no different this week with some intense attack vs defence drills going off. The usual suspects were involved, as the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and more tried to get the better of their defenders.

However, while Kane can be seen getting the better of Davinson Sanchez during the drill, his partner in crime Heung-Min Son had a different time of things against Japhet Tanganga. The young defender, who is wanted by a number of clubs including Leeds and Forest this summer, excels against Son in the one v one drill, with the South Korean only getting a proper shot off on on occasion.

For Tanganga, this is clearly a show of how good he can be in one v one situations defensively. Indeed, there is clear praise from both Hugo Lloris and the coaching staff each time he nullifies Sonny.

Whether or not this changes Antonio Conte’s stance on Tanganga, however, remains to be seen.

TBR’s View: Tanganga Could Do A Job For Spurs

It does seem odd that Spurs seem willing to let Tanganga go but yet keep being linked with other defenders at the same time.

Tanganga has impressed when he’s been given the chance in the first-team and while Conte will obviously see him every day in training, this short clip here shows how good he can be defensively.

Come the end of the window, if Tanganga remains at Spurs and they’ve not signed anyone, then we can surely expect to see the academy product get his chances this season.
