Raphinha was unhappy with Leeds fans during Wednesday’s defeat to Chelsea, with a video on social media showing the winger heading towards the crowd to retrieve a ball that was being held onto by some supporters before a throw to the visitors.
Wednesday proved to be a grim night at Elland Road for the Whites. Jesse Marsch’s men have moved a step closer to relegation after a terrible evening. They were beaten 3-0 and lost another player to a red card with Dan James getting dismissed for an awful challenge.

It was clear that many of the players could not hide their frustration. They struggled to lay a glove on Thomas Tuchel’s men. And tempers boiled over on a few more occasions after James was dismissed.
One incident came during the second-half when Chelsea were awarded a throw. The ball appeared to go into the crowd and some fans a few rows back seemed determined to keep it.

Marcos Alonso was clearly happy to let the fans hold onto the ball for as long as possible given the position Chelsea were in. But one player who did take exception to the incident was Raphinha.
The Brazilian can be seen coming over to plead for the ball to come back. And clearly, he is in no mood for the supporters to see the lighter side of the occasion.
Raphinha unhappy with Leeds fans
You have to admire Raphinha’s desire to win. At that stage, the game looked to be long gone. But he was desperate to try and make something happen.
It certainly alleviates any concerns about his motivation amid links with Barcelona. Clearly, Raphinha is absolutely desperate to avoid relegation with Leeds.
It may be a matter of pride, wanting to avoid relegation, and change little about his future. But even if that is the case, Leeds are set to benefit because his focus is keeping the team in the league.
