Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has replied to a fan begging him to join Chelsea.

The Nigerian is one of the best strikers in the world. He has been fantastic for Napoli since he joined them and played a massive part in helping them win the Serie A title last season. Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move away in 2024, and Chelsea want to sign him.

Chelsea have had an awful season so far, haven’t they?

The Blues are currently 10th in the table and are closer to 20th-place Sheffield United than they are to Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Many feel all Chelsea need in January or in the summer is a new striker who will guarantee 20 or 25 goals a season.

Forwards so prolific are hard to come by, but Victor Osimhen definitely checks that box, and he has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Osimhen turns 25 today and a fan on X/Twitter wished him a happy birthday before begging him to ‘come and rescue Chelsea soon’.

The Nigerian, surprisingly, replied to that tweet with a few emojis.

Chelsea haven’t had a prolific goalscorer up front since probably Diego Costa all those years ago.

Unsurprisingly, that’s when the Blues last won the Premier League, and if they want to get anywhere near the top again, they need to sign a new striker.

Victor Osimhen is probably the best number nine around right now, and Chelsea’s interest has been widely reported over the last few months.

If the Blues can beat other interested clubs to his signature in one of the next two transfer windows, their fortunes could change massively.
