West Ham United are seemingly looking to bolster their front line in the January transfer window.
And according to a report from Italy, a reported Hammers attacking target is hoping that they move for him this month.
West Ham have been linked with Salernitana and Senegal striker Boulaye Dia over the past few weeks.
Now, Calcio Salernitana have reported that the 27-year-old seems to have a preference for linking up with the Hammers.
Apparently, the Serie A side are currently asking for ‘no less than €15million’ (around £12million) for Dia.
The player ‘dreams’ of a move to the Premier League and ‘hopes for an insertion’ of West Ham in the race for his signature.

Dia is currently with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, which would seemingly complicate things with regards to seeking a transfer.
However, the report suggests a long-distance face-to-face meeting could take place between Salernitana general manager Walter Sabatini and the striker’s camp to help ‘speed up’ a potential exit.
West Ham target Boulaye Dia is a “very strong” player
Dia was hoping to seal a move to Wolves in the summer, but Salernitana didn’t sanction a move to the Premier League outfit.
This led to the 2022 World Cup scorer initially refusing to return to the club after the international break, but he ultimately resolved his differences with the club’s hierarchy.
Now, with the January transfer window in full swing, it looks as though Dia is once again looking for a move, which could play into West Ham’s hands.
Italian journalist and Salernitana expert Carmine Raiola recently spoke about the reported Hammers target’s potential future amid links with other Premier League clubs.
Speaking on Radio Bruno, via Labaro Viola, Raiola said: “A strong player, he makes the team move up and makes the team score. Everyone remembers the hat-trick against Fiorentina.
“He wants to leave Salerno. Sabatini was clear, the attacker must be sold permanently.
“For me, he will leave, just look at what happened in the summer. Very strong, but with a truly complicated character. From abroad, Frankfurt and Newcastle like him.”
West Ham will surely fancy their chances of signing Dia in the January transfer window if they decide to step up their interest.
He’s reportedly eager to move, the club seems willing to sanction a move, he’s a decent player who will add quality to their front line, and at around £12million, he won’t break the bank.
