‘Very special’: As well as Obi-Martin, Pundit says Arsenal have another U16 who looks ‘unreal’

Chido Obi-Martin has been making headlines at Arsenal this week after netting 10 goals in a youth game.

The young striker has been earmarked as a star for the future, and he’s sure to have many eyes on him from now on.

However, he’s not the only player who caught the eye during that match.

Max Dowman is another player who has been shining for the Arsenal youth sides as of late, making an impact at both U16 and U18 levels.

Speaking on the Handbrake Off Podcast, Adrian Clarke has been raving about the midfielder, claiming that he looks like a special player at such a young age.

Dowman looks special

Clarke shared his verdict on the youngster.

“I saw some clips and I saw some goals of Chido Obi-Martin and of Max Dowman and I was like wow, ok, they look unreal,” Clarke said.

“It is exciting, there’s a long way to go for these young players, but the talent of these young kids is frightening. Things can level up quickly so we shouldn’t get too excited with these two, but from what I saw in this highlight reel it was very, very special. I’ve never seen a 13-year-old playing in the U18s in the way Dowman has or playing three years up, it’s just phenomenal,” Clarke said.

The future is bright

Whether or not Obi-Martin and Dowman make an impact at first-team level remains to be seen at Arsenal, but it has to be said that the future looks bright at the Emirates.

Amario Cozier-Duberry and Ethan Nwaneri also look to be stars of the future, and that’s before we even start talking about what the likes of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba are already doing.

Arsenal have some of the best young talents in the country, and they could be incredibly successful over the next few years if these young lads continue to grow and improve.
