Arsenal target Ademola Lookman fined and told to train alone

Ademola Lookman’s future is still up in the air.

The Nigeria international, who was hailed as ‘unstoppable’ by Ederson (AS), had been pushing for a move to Inter Milan all summer.

Lookman even released a public transfer request to leave Atalanta, but the Nerazzurri have pulled out of the race to sign him after failing to agree a deal.

Fabrizio Romano suggested that Lookman could be an option for Arsenal, who are active on the market and are looking for reinforcements.

TBR Football exclusively revealed on Tuesday that Lookman had spoken to Arsenal in the last 48 hours and has let them know about his availability.

However, back in Italy, Atalanta are far from happy with his behaviour this summer, and Sky Sports Italia have claimed that he has been punished.

The Serie A side have instructed Lookman to train alone until the transfer window shuts, and he has even been fined for his actions.

Furthermore, the report claims that Lookman’s salary will be reduced for every day he has missed training so far in pre-season.

Arsenal have a new reason to sign Ademola Lookman

Lookman isn’t really the profile of a player Arsenal usually go for.

The attacker will turn 28 in October, and his previous spell in the Premier League at clubs like Fulham and Everton was not great at all.

However, Kai Havertz has suffered an injury and is set to spend a while on the sidelines. That has made the need for a new attacker all the more important now.

Of all the forwards Arsenal have been linked with, Lookman may just be the easiest to sign because of his current situation at Atalanta.

We’re sure Andrea Berta will consider all the options, but Lookman is definitely one to watch after already holding talks with Arsenal.
