'Unless it’s big, big money': Journalist claims Leeds will play hardball over 'unbelievable' 25-year-old

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has been linked with a move away this summer.

The Telegraph has recently reported that several clubs want the Elland Road winger in the coming months.

The Leeds star is apparently on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, Newcastle United and Everton.

However, Pete O’Rourke reckons the Whites will play hardball over their player’s signature.

The journalist told GiveMeSport that Leeds will be “desperate” to keep hold of him.

And barring a huge bid, they probably won’t look to do business, suggested O’Rourke.

“For me, I think he’s a talented winger, and I’m sure Leeds will be desperate to keep hold of him,” he wrote on GiveMeSport.

“So, unless it’s big, big money, I would imagine Leeds will be looking to keep hold of Jack Harrison for next season.”

Over the last couple of campaigns, Harrison has established himself as a solid Premier League forward for Leeds.

The 25-year-old has registered 18 goals and 10 assists in 76 appearances across all competitions for the Whites.

Harrison also scored the winner in Leeds’ Premier League final-day win over Brentford.

The former Manchester City man also clocked up some good metrics last term which highlight his importance to the team.

As per WhoScored, Harrison made 1.2 key passes, pulled off 1.5 dribbles and put in 0.5 crosses per league game throughout 2021/22.

These have placed him in the top three for each metric amongst his teammates.

Kalvin Phillips described Harrison as an “unbelievable” player, and Jesse Marsch labelled him “fantastic“.

Put simply, Leeds need to do all they can to keep him next season.
