TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has had his say after Eric Dier left Tottenham Hotspur and joined Bayern Munich yesterday.
Spurs have completed quite a lot of business already in this window. Timo Werner joined the club on loan this week, and that move was followed by Radu Dragusin‘s permanent arrival. Dier has now left Tottenham as well, and he has joined one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Jamie O’Hara reacts after Eric Dier leaves Tottenham and joins Bayern Munich
Eric Dier bid an emotional goodbye to Tottenham Hotspur fans after completing his move to Bayern Munich yesterday.
The Englishman spent close to a decade at Spurs and was almost always a key player. He dropped down the pecking order after Ange Postecoglou‘s arrival in the summer, and it quickly became clear that he has no future at the club.
Bayern wanted to sign Dier back in the summer, but no move materialised then. After the Germans missed out on Radu Dragusin this month, ironically to Tottenham, they decided to go after the 29-year-old Spurs star, and they were successful this time around.
Dier is a Bayern Munich player now, which is a massive move for him. Tottenham fan and pundit Jamie O’Hara couldn’t believe the Englishman secured that transfer.
He said on talkSPORT: “Eric Dier has moved to Bayern Munich. Fair play to him, he has been a great servant to the football club.
“What a move by the way. I could understand it if it’s Harry Kane going for £100 million to one of the best clubs in the world, one of the best clubs ever, (but) Eric Dier, I mean fair play to him, he’s a good player and he’s had a decent career at Spurs.
“He’s done alright but completely out of sorts and now, miles off it in terms of where, you know, Spurs want to be and him playing at centre-half, and he’s gone to a better club.
“Unbelievable! Fair play to him. That is a move you never see happening.”

Eric Dier and Harry Kane could win the Champions League
Eric Dier spent close to a decade at Tottenham, and like Harry Kane, he wasn’t fortunate to win a trophy in North London.
Now, much to Spurs fans’ annoyance, they could both win big in the next few months.
Bayern are among the biggest clubs in the world. They are in the race to win the Bundesliga title again – albeit behind Bayer Leverkusen at the moment – and they will go far in the Champions League as well.
If things go to plan, Dier could end the season lifting the German league title and the Champions League – just months after being out of favour at Tottenham.
