Everything you need to know about the UEFA Super Cup final between Tottenham and PSG, including how to watch, team news and more.

Tottenham Hotspur have the opportunity to add more European silverware to their trophy cabinet as they take on PSG in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup.

Spurs claimed a famous victory in the Europa League final, holding off their Premier League rivals Manchester United to claim the trophy under former head coach Ange Postecoglou.

However, their Europa League win was not enough to keep the Australian in his job, and Thomas Frank is now in the hot seat for Spurs.

His first competitive game sees Tottenham take on the defending Champions League winners, PSG. Here is everything you need to know about this heavyweight European clash.

When does the UEFA Super Cup kick off and how do I watch on TV?

The Super Cup is being held at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy, on 13 August 2025. The game kicks off at 20:00 BST, or 21:00 CET.

In the UK, fans can watch the game on TNT Sports on TV or stream the match on Discovery+.

A full list of European broadcast partners can be found on the UEFA website, which outlines exactly where fans can watch the game in their country.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News

Spurs will be without attacking midfielder James Maddison for the pre-season showpiece in Italy after it was confirmed that he will miss the majority of the season with an ACL injury.

Striker Dominic Solanke is also a doubt for the game. Solanke picked up an injury in Tottenham’s pre-season friendly against Reading in July and has not featured since, casting his participation in the Super Cup into doubt.

New signing Joao Palhinha could make his first competitive start for the club against the Parisians. The Portuguese star will line up against Bayern Munich in Spurs’ pre-season friendly.

PSG Team News

Having lifted the Champions League last season, PSG endured a gruelling season as they also qualified for the Club World Cup final before succumbing to a defeat against Chelsea.

As a result, Luis Enrique’s side only returned to pre-season training on the 6th August as they step up preparations for the new Ligue 1 season.

Goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier is set to join PSG from Lille and could be in the squad to face Spurs, with Italian shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma linked with a move away after rejecting a new contract offer.

Who will referee the UEFA Super Cup?

Portuguese referee Joao Pinheiro will take charge of the Super Cup final. He was the fourth official in the Champions League final when PSG overcame Inter Milan.

Pinheiro will be assisted by Bruno Jesus and Luciano Maia, with Elchin Masiyev acting as the fourth official.

Tiago Martins, Fabio Melo and Pol van Boekel are in charge of VAR for the game.

Tottenham vs PSG Prediction

Whilst on paper, PSG have the stronger squad and bigger pedigree, coming into the game as defending Champions League winners, Spurs have a chance to catch them cold.

With the Parisians having only spent a few days in pre-season training and potentially feeling the effects of a long season, Tottenham could just pull off an upset to claim their second trophy in a matter of months.

Predicted scoreline: Tottenham 2-1 PSG.
