Tyler Roberts reacts as Leeds post Kalvin Phillips video
Tyler Roberts has expressed his delight on social media after Leeds United posted a video showing Kalvin Phillips back in training.
Phillips left Leeds fans panicking on what threatened to be a perfect final day of the Premier League season for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The 25-year-old had to be helped from the field after injuring his shoulder. He landed awkwardly as he looked to make one final full-blooded challenge to round off the campaign.
With Euro 2020 looming, supporters will have been keeping everything crossed that Phillips would be okay for the summer.
There came an encouraging sign on Tuesday as Gareth Southgate named Phillips in his provisional 33-man squad for the tournament.
And it appears that Leeds may have now confirmed that he will be ready.
The Whites posted a video on Instagram showing Phillips in training. And many of the drills he is taking part in sees the midfielder put pressure on his shoulders.
He looks to be moving freely. And there is no indication that he is really struggling with the shoulder problem.
And Roberts has lauded his teammate in response…
Roberts’ reply will sum up how many Leeds fans feel about Phillips
Considering how worrying Sunday’s scenes were, it is unbelievable to see how well Phillips appears to be doing already.
And Roberts’s comments will sum up what many of the supporters will be thinking about Phillips’ recovery.
It will be a proud day for many Leeds fans should Phillips feature this summer.
He certainly stands a fantastic chance of featuring in the tournament. Southgate put a lot of faith in him during the last international break.
And with Jordan Henderson only recently returning from injury, he will surely be needed at some point as England look to secure their first major tournament victory.
