Manchester United are, once again, facing a tough decision on what to do with their manager.
The Red Devils have picked up just three points from their first three games in the Premier League this season, and Erik ten Hag is already being questioned.
The FA Cup win last season saved Ten Hag’s job, but now, he’s under pressure once again.
Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, Troy Deeney has been discussing Mikel Arteta and the idea that the Spaniard will be under pressure if he doesn’t win a trophy this season.
Deeney says that it would be ridiculous to question Arteta after the work he’s done if he doesn’t win a trophy, claiming that trophies don’t necessarily mean everything.
Deeney used Ten Hag as an example for this, claiming that Manchester United would take Mikel Arteta in a heartbeat, despite Ten Hag’s recent success in terms of silverware.

Manchester United would take Mikel Arteta
Deeney spoke about the Arsenal manager and Manchester United’s situation.
“I think Arteta has done a fantastic job. I was speaking to someone about when he comes under pressure, because, now there is an expectation that they win something,” Deeney said.
“I don’t think he should, because he’s closed the gap on City so quickly, he should be afforded at least two more years to win something. Ten Hag just won something and Man U would take Arteta in a heartbeat.”
Mikel Arteta is better than Erik ten Hag
There’s no question about it, Manchester United would take Mikel Arteta tomorrow if they could.
Arteta may not have won any trophies at Arsenal over the past two years, but to compare Arsenal to United at this point is like comparing chalk and cheese.
Yes, luck didn’t go their way in the cups, but Arsenal finished 29 points ahead of United last season, despite the fact United have spent millions upon millions on their squad in recent years.
United would take the Arsenal in a heartbeat, but with Arteta set to sign a new Arsenal contract soon, this move is very unlikely to say the least.
