Arsenal drew 1-1 with Brighton at the weekend, but this game could easily have gone in the Gunners’ favour.
Indeed, while Arsenal were down to 10 men and under the cosh for a little while, for the last 10 or 15 minutes, the Gunners created their fair share of chances.
Bukayo Saka missed some golden chances late in the game, and speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, Troy Deeney has been discussing the winger’s finishing.
Deeney says that Saka’s finishing reminds him of Mohamed Salah, claiming that he can be quite wasteful at times, but he gets away with that because he creates so many chances.

Bukayo Saka’s finishing is like Mohamed Salah
Deeney shared his verdict on Saka’s finishing.
“Saka just couldn’t connect with the ball for some reason,” The host said.
“He does that though, but the reason he gets away with it is because he scores. Dare I say it he’s a bit like Mohamed Salah in that situation. Salah creates a lot of chances for himself, but when he doesn’t score it’s like ‘oh my god, he’s missed five today.’ But you know in your head he will probably get three the week after,” Deeney replied.

Bukayo Saka misses chances
Deeney is right, Bukayo Saka misses his fair share of chances, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Indeed, while Saka currently sits second in the ‘big chances missed’ stat in the Premier League, that shouldn’t be construed as a negative.
Last season, the player who missed the most big chances was Erling Haaland, and he was the Golden Boot winner.
Saka is creating tons of chances, that’s what matters, and while he may miss his fair share, the fact that he keeps getting in the right positions shows that the goals will come.
Don’t be surprised if Saka hits more than 15 goals again in the Premier League this season.
