Tony Pulis has lauded one Manchester United player and labelled him a ‘tremendous’ talent, noting that nothing seems to ever bother him.
It has definitely been a difficult season at Old Trafford. There appeared to be real promise during Erik ten Hag‘s first campaign in charge. However, positives have been a lot harder to come by this term.
Manchester United have got a tough task to qualify for the Champions League again next year. But ten Hag does have a handful of players he can build his team around.
And there is no question that Kobbie Mainoo looks to be one of those who appears to have a massive role to play in Manchester United’s future. The 18-year-old went into this season having made just three appearances for the first-team.
Tony Pulis says he’s been so impressed by Manchester United midfielder
Mainoo has been outstanding this season. And he has been rewarded with his first call-up to the senior England squad in this international break. It came after Mainoo really impressed in Manchester United’s FA Cup win over Liverpool last week.

There has been a debate over whether Mainoo is ready for a spot in the England squad, particularly with Euro 2024 just around the corner.
But speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, Tony Pulis suggested that he is a huge admirer of the young midfielder.
“He’s a good player,” he said.
“I think he’s a tremendous talent. He’s got great balance. Great players or good players, their movement on the ball and off the ball, and he just seems so balanced. He receives it and he can open himself up, drops a shoulder. Nothing seems to bother him. Really good player. Looks a top, top player.”
Kobbie Mainoo continues to rise to every challenge
There is a difference between including Mainoo in the England squad and handing him a prominent role for his country in big games.
This call-up gives Mainoo the chance to train with a number of world-class players. And perhaps Gareth Southgate is planning to hand him some minutes in the upcoming games.
England have an outstanding starting lineup. But Mainoo is potentially one of those in contention to make the squad this summer.
It is remarkable how he has cleared almost every hurdle put in front of him so far. So it is no surprise that Pulis is so excited about his potential.
