Transfer latest: Spurs need to pay £65m for Richarlison; Xhaka exit talks
To kick off our latest transfer round-up, Tottenham Hotspur will need to pay £65 million if they hope to sign Richarlison from Everton. Spurs hoped a deal would be possible for around £50 million, according to The Sun on Sunday (12/6; page 68).
Bayer Leverkusen had representatives in London in the last week to hold talks with Arsenal regarding a potential move for Granit Xhaka. Xhaka – who was labelled ‘phenomenal‘ by Mikel Arteta – may find himself down the pecking order at the Emirates should the Gunners manage to sign Youri Tielemans, The Sunday People (12/6; page 57) reports.
West Ham are on pole position to beat Newcastle to the signing of Ismaila Sarr. The winger is set to leave Watford for around £25 million this summer. And the Hammers are the side most likely to secure his signature, according to The Sunday People (12/6; page 61).

Liverpool have decided not to sell Nat Phillips this summer. The Reds were planning to let him go. However, they have changed their mind and could let him return to Bournemouth on loan. Arsenal have been in contact with the agents of Marco Asensio, according to the Daily Mirror. Meanwhile, Sport suggests that Real Madrid are now expecting the 26-year-old to leave this summer. They want a fee of around £43 million for the forward.
And finally, Jonjoe Kenny has taken little time to find his next club after leaving Everton. The right-back is in Germany to seal a move to Hertha Berlin, according to Sky Sports.
