Transfer latest: Newcastle want £50m PL star; Spurs eye Barella
To kick off our latest transfer round-up, Newcastle United are considering a move for Leicester City star Harvey Barnes. The Magpies want to strengthen in attacking midfield and are keen on Anthony Gordon and Jack Harrison. But the Foxes want £50 million for the 24-year-old, according to The Sun.
Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing Nicolo Barella, but Antonio Conte signing the 25-year-old in this window is unlikely. Instead, Spurs may well pursue a deal for the Italy international next summer, according to Il Messaggero.
Arsenal signing Youri Tielemans this summer is still possible – but, potentially on one condition. The Belgian was widely expected to join the Gunners in this window. And while a deal could still happen, Arsenal may not make a move unless a big player leaves beforehand, Goal reports.
Crystal Palace have moved a step closer to signing Chris Richards. The Eagles have agreed a £10 million deal with Bayern Munich for the USMNT international. He has now undergone a medical ahead of signing a five-year contract, 90min claims.
