Tottenham Hotspur star Rodrigo Bentancur has praised Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez and how much he has matured recently.
The 24-year-old Reds forward looks like a different player this season compared to who he was last term. He has been brilliant, and Bentancur feels it’s the Liverpool striker’s maturity that has made him a better player.

Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur praises Liverpool star Darwin Nunez
Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica last year in a club-record £85 million deal (Sky Sports).
The Uruguay international scored 15 goals in his debut campaign for the Reds last season, but he still came under a ton of criticism for some of his performances.
This season, Nunez has been incredible. He has scored seven goals and provided five assists in just seven starts, which is a spectacular return.
Uruguay legend Luis Suarez has already raved about Nunez. Now, another one of his compatriots – Rodrigo Bentancur – has praised his maturity.
The Tottenham man said in an interview with Sport890, as translated by SportWitness: “It seems that Darwin has matured a lot.
“And number 9, I think he also deserves it a little for all the work he has done. The only thing he has to do is enjoy himself and try to have fun.
“It is the most beautiful thing to be in a club like Liverpool and defend the National Team, which is the ultimate dream that a player has.”

Nunez needs to start more games for Liverpool
Liverpool have played 15 games in all competitions so far this season, and Nunez has only started seven of those fixtures.
Jurgen Klopp needs to rethink that stance.
The Uruguay international appears to be in the best form he has been in since he joined Liverpool last year. As Bentancur said, he looks so much more mature and is incredibly dangerous now.
Liverpool take on Luton Town this weekend in what could prove to be a one-sided but very high-scoring game. If Nunez starts, we think he’ll almost definitely score.
