Tottenham are preparing to ramp up their pursuit of a new defender by making a move for Genoa star Radu Dragusin.
Dragusin has been mentioned a lot over the last few weeks when it comes to Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou is said to be keen on bringing the defender to the club.
Further, Dragusin’s agent has mentioned on more than one occasion how the defender is open to talks with Premier League clubs, Tottenham among them.
And now, according to Calciomercato, Tottenham are ready to make their first proper move to Dragusin.

The report claims that in the next few hours, Spurs will initiate contact with the Italian side over doing a deal for Dragusin.
Cristian Romero’s injury has left Tottenham very short of defenders and after shipping four last night, it seems the club now want to move quickly.
Tottenham ready to bid for Radu Dragusin
It seems Spurs are ready to move quickly for January signings to help Postecoglou and it seems like Dragusin might be the one they settle on.
Reports have suggested a fee up to £30m might be needed by Tottenham but right now, given their defensive crisis, it’s going to be money worth paying.
Dragusin has clearly impressed over in Serie A and there’s a reason why Tottenham have put him on their radar for January.
Last night’s hammering at Brighton will have been a concern for Spurs and Big Ange. The way the Seagulls cut through them at times was worrying and with no Van de Ven or Romero, they desperately need someone in the door.
Dragusin looks like he might be the one to fill the void, then. But whether or not he can adjust quickly enough to come straight into the XI, is another matter entirely.
Spurs fans will certainly hope so, that’s for sure.
