Tottenham might have been active in the transfer window already but one man they have missed out on it seems, is Malcolm Ebiowei.
Crystal Palace have agreed a deal to sign Ebiowei from Derby. The youngster will join up with Patrick Vieira’s side after impressing for the Rams. The teenager will no doubt be keen to kick on and make a quick impression, albeit with an understanding that he’ll need to fight his way into proceedings.
However, things might have been different for Ebiowei. According to The Daily Mail, it was indeed Tottenham who were most keen to sign the youngster ahead of Palace. It’s reported how Spurs were the biggest rivals to Palace before they struck their deal, with Antonio Conte clearly impressed by the teenager.

Manchester United were also said to have shown an interest in signing Ebiowei. The winger, who is still only 18, is widely regarded as one of the hottest properties outside the Premier League.
Wayne Rooney – who has now stepped down as Derby manager – labelled Ebiowei for his ‘incredible‘ attitude while at Derby. The youngster will be hoping he can achieve half as much as his former manager as he embarks on his Premier League journey.
TBR’s View: Tottenham Will Keep Ebiowei In Their Sights Anyway
There’s no way Tottenham simply stop watching Ebiowei now he’s signed for Palace. In fact, if anything, it might perk their interest even more.
If the youngster gets minutes under Vieira then he has a big chance to catch the eye and impress. Much like Marc Guehi has, Ebiowei could well make a big impression early on at Palace and Tottenham will be watching on with intent.
For Palace, it is a good sign they have beaten off Spurs and United here.
