Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing AS Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante, a player whom they were keen on back in 2018 to replace Mousa Dembele.
Spurs lost each of their last two Premier League games, but they are still in a fantastic position in the league table – just two points behind Manchester City. Solid additions in January could push them higher up, and Cristante is the latest name to be linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham want to sign Bryan Cristante
Tottenham have a lot to consider in the January transfer window.
Injuries have really hurt them over the last week, and they are also set to be without Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma in January due to the African Cup of Nations.
To make things worse in midfield, there is a chance Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will leave the club as well in the winter window having fallen down the pecking order since Ange Postecoglou‘s arrival.
A new midfielder would definitely benefit Tottenham, and Il Romanista claim this week that Spurs are interested in AS Roma’s Bryan Cristante.
The 28-year-old Italian is a key player for Jose Mourinho, having started and played the full 90 minutes in every single Serie A game this season.
The report claims Tottenham have targeted Cristante, and even though Mourinho is desperate to keep hold of his star midfielder, an offer of around £26 million could be enough to convince Roma’s owners to sell him.

Spurs wanted Cristante to replace Mousa Dembele
Back in the summer of 2018, the Mirror reported that Tottenham were ready to sell Mousa Dembele after negotiations over a new contract failed to progress.
The Belgian has been regarded by many Spurs players as the best they’ve ever played with, but he had his fair share of injury issues and everyone expected him to leave.
The Mirror claimed in 2018 that Tottenham had lined up two targets to replace Dembele, and Bryan Cristante, who was at Atalanta at the time, was one of them.
No move materialised then, but if the report from Italy now is to be believed, Ange Postecoglou could bring him to Tottenham in January.
