Tottenham Hotspur have been fairly quiet in the transfer window so far this summer, getting just two signings over the line.
Spurs have brought Archie Gray to N17 and have also secured the signing of Yang Min-hyuk, though he won’t join the squad until next year.
With just over three weeks to go until deadline day, Tottenham haven’t exactly got all the time in the world to bring in new signings.
A new striker is likely to be high on Ange Postecoglou’s agenda, and a number of forwards have been linked with a move to Spurs in recent months.
More recently, Tottenham have been linked with one particular striker, and Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has described him as just the kind of forward Postecoglou wants.

Dominic Solanke to Tottenham ‘a goer’
The player in question is Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke, who was prolific in the Premier League last season.
Bridge has shared the latest on Tottenham’s interest in the player.
“There is certainly interest from Tottenham Hotspur in Dominic Solanke,” said Bridge.
“My understanding is there’s not been talks between the two clubs as of yet but he is on their list.
“We’ve said all summer Spurs would like to sign another forward and Solanke is on that list.”
When asked about Solanke’s style of play, Bridge replied: “Ultimately he’s an out-and-out centre-forward.
“Solanke can also play as a 10, he’s also played in wide positions before for previous clubs.
“He can do a bit of everything, and that’s what Ange Postecoglou likes in his forwards.”
Bridge went on to say: “Spurs are looking to sign more domestic players – not all of them but some – so this one I think is a goer.”
Solanke boasts £60-65m price tag
Steve Kay recently claimed that Solanke has a release clause worth between £60-65million, and he also said the Cherries won’t go for less than that as he’s their star striker.
This is quite a hefty fee, so it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will actually fancy their chances of negotiating a lower price with Bournemouth.
Considering Solanke’s contract runs until 2027, the Cherries’ hand would be strong in negotiations.
At the same time, the England international’s stock is at an all-time high and this summer would probably be the best time for the south coast club to cash in.
Tottenham duo Richarlison and Manor Solomon are also being linked with moves away, so if Spurs can sell one or both, they could well reinvest that money in Solanke.
