Tottenham Hotspur could be closing in on another major signing this summer as they make their move for Dominic Solanke.
Spurs have apparently agreed a deal that will see Solanke become their club-record signing, and Tottenham’s transfer activity may not be done yet.
Indeed, while Spurs have been slow to get going this summer, there could now be a flurry of activity.
According to Michael Bridge, speaking on Sky Sports News, Tottenham still want to sign an energetic midfield player this summer, with Jacob Ramsey highlighted as a player that Tottenham still like.
Tottenham like Jacob Ramsey
Bridge shared what he knows about Tottenham’s transfer plans.
“I still think they are in the market for an energetic midfielder. They like Jacob Ramsey at Villa, but he scored in a friendly yesterday, and I think Villa are very keen to keep him,” Bridge said.

Tottenham’s midfield is stacked
It is interesting to hear that Tottenham are in the market for a new midfielder. After all, their midfield is already stacked.
With Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall arriving already this summer, Tottenham have plenty of depth in the middle of the park.
Yves Bissouma, Pape Sarr, Oliver Skipp, Gray, Bergvall and even Giovani Lo Celso are all options in the centre of the pitch.
Of course, Tottenham have been looking at new options in the midfield for a while.
Conor Gallagher was linked to Tottenham for ages before his impending move to Atletico Madrid, and while Spurs may not get Gallagher, they could sign another young English midfielder in the shape of Ramsey.
Getting a young, homegrown player out of Aston Villa won’t be easy, especially as Unai Emery’s side have Champions League football on offer this season.
Ramsey would be a fantastic signing for Tottenham, but it’s unlikely that this deal will go ahead this summer.
