Tottenham have reportedly placed Conor Gallagher at the top of their midfield transfer list, with Chelsea potentially looking to sell the 23-year-old.
The north London side have been busy this January, with Tottenham already announcing the signing of Timo Werner on loan with Radu Dragusin reportedly expected to follow suit.
Yet Ange Postecoglou might not be done yet, with the Australian manager keen to sign a central midfielder if Tottenham can manage a sale or two this January.

And according to the Independent, the midfielder Tottenham want to sign more than any other is Gallagher, who Chelsea could put up for sale.
Despite being a regular under Mauricio Pochettino and wearing the armband on numerous occasions, Gallagher’s academy status makes selling the midfielder incredibly appealing to Chelsea.
And Tottenham could pounce at the chance to sign the England international, with the Blues believed to be looking at £40m for the Cobham academy graduate.
Tottenham must pounce for Conor Gallagher if Chelsea somehow sell

Chelsea selling Gallagher this month would be nothing short of madness given how important the England international has been for the Blues this season.
Yet if Todd Boehly is to make such a bonkers decision, Tottenham have to ensure they are the club who secure Gallagher’s signature as their new midfield superstar.
As we know, the north London side want to bring in a new midfielder who can flourish under Postecoglou, and Gallagher could do just that for Tottenham.
And if Chelsea are crazy enough to sell Gallagher, Spurs could be the club that win the race for the 23-year-old’s signature in what would be one of the craziest transfers of the January window.
