Tottenham star posts on Instagram after announcement, Jermaine Jenas among responses

Tottenham announced on Friday the signing of a new contract for their star Heung-Min Son, with the player celebrating the news on Instagram.

Spurs confirmed on Friday that the South Korean attacker has penned a fresh deal that keeps him at the north London club until 2025.

The 29-year-old has been a key player since he joined back in 2015, so it’s massive news for supporters.

Son, who’s passed the 100-goal mark as a Spurs player, scored 22 goals and created 17 assists last season alone.

He’s a left-winger that has become famous for his infield runs, plus the partnership he’s developed with England captain and teammate Harry Kane.

The forward posted a message on social media after today’s contact announcement, with Jermaine Jenas among the responses.

For Spurs, there is a lot of uncertainty around whether or not Kane will be at the club next season.

According to The Sun, the 27-year-old striker is will move to Manchester City for £160million.

It’s going to leave a devastating hole if he goes.

However, Son committing his future should help ease some of the pressure and potential concerns.

There is no doubt he belongs in the conversation of the Premier League’s elite attackers, so new manager Nuno Espirito Santo can definitely build his squad around him.
