Tottenham squad left amazed by 22-year-old’s passing in training drill ahead of Champions League clash
The Tottenham Hotspur squad were left amazed by Dejan Kulusevski’s passing during a training drill ahead of their Champions League clash tonight.
Spurs are set to face off against Eintracht Frankfurt tonight in what will be their fourth group stage game. Antonio Conte’s men are currently second in their group, level on points with Frankfurt and two behind Sporting Lisbon.
Tottenham were unlucky to not pick up all three points against the Bundesliga outfit in Germany last week. And Conte has been putting his side through their paces ahead of a crucial game.
The Italian has been handed a boost in recent days as Kulusevski, Lucas Moura and Japhet Tanagnga were spotted in training yesterday.
And while Conte said the Swedish winger will not be involved tonight, he has already been impressing his teammates on his return to full training.
Tottenham squad amazed by Kulusevski
In a video on the club’s YouTube channel, the Spurs squad were involved in a passing drill yesterday.
And on two occasions, Kulusevski produced passes that earned him praise from his teammates.
Three players had to try to win the ball back as part of the exercise and the 22-year-old played an excellent pass between two of them.
Several players can be heard shouting: “Deki! [Kulusevski’s nickname]”
On the other occasion, Kulusevski showcases his skill as he rolls the ball to Heung-Min Son.
And someone shouts: “Ah, Deki!”
Conte will be delighted to have the Spurs attacker back in training after he picked up an injury on international duty with Sweden last month.
Kulusevski has missed Spurs’ last three games, including the 3-1 defeat in the north London derby. Spurs have certainly missed his creativity and incisive passing in the final third.
The attacker won’t be involved tonight but Conte said yesterday that he is likely to be available for the clash against Everton this weekend.
