Tottenham Hotspur sent a scout to watch Samuel Iling-Junior in action for England under-21s, with Spurs the side most interested in signing the Juventus starlet in January.

That is according to a report from Calciomercato, which notes that the Old Lady have set their asking price for the 20-year-old.

Samuel Iling-Junior reportedly has a number of admirers in the Premier League. And Calciomercato reports that Tottenham are the team leading the charge for his signature.

Iling-Junior is reportedly interested in moving to the Premier League in January. And Juventus are open to the prospect of letting him go. They want a fee of around £17.5 million for the youngster as they look to raise funds that will allow the club to reinvest in an attacking midfielder.

Tottenham are taking a good look at Iling-Junior, who left Chelsea for Turin back in 2020.

Calciomercato reports that Spurs had a scout watching Iling-Junior while he was on under-21 duty with England during this international break. He came on as a substitute in their 3-0 win over Northern Ireland on Tuesday.

Plenty of eyes will be on Juventus winger in coming weeks

Iling-Junior would be an exciting signing for Spurs. He would not cost a huge amount. And he has a really exciting record. He scored 19 goals and contributed 17 assists in 71 games for Juventus’ under-19s and under-23s.

He has also been labelled an ‘assist machine‘ in the past.

The wide men are so important for the way Ange Postecoglou wants his side to play, particularly with the full-backs often inverting.

But Postecoglou has shown that he is prepared to put plenty of faith in younger players if he feels that they are ready. So it would be a statement if Tottenham did now pursue a deal for Iling-Junior.

Certainly, there are going to be plenty on eyes on his form in the weeks leading up to the January transfer window.
