Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas has told the Last Word on Spurs podcast that Tottenham Hotspur are still very much interested in signing Anthony Gordon, with Fabio Paratici a massive fan of the Everton star.
This window appears to be an absolutely pivotal one for Spurs and Antonio Conte. Right now, supporters would be forgiven for feeling quite concerned about the club’s immediate future.

Certainly, many associated with the club will be hoping for further signings this month. And with that, a number of names are under discussion.
Tottenham remain big admirers of Anthony Gordon
One of those who has previously been on the radar is Gordon. In fact, reports from The Sun claimed at one stage in the summer that Tottenham made a £100 million offer for both the winger and Richarlison.

Obviously, Richarlison would ultimately join. But Gordon stayed put at Goodison Park with Everton reportedly demanding a fee of £60 million. And it seems that he is not far away from committing his future to the Toffees.
The Telegraph reported last month that he is set to sign a new deal with Everton. And it would appear that that will come as a real blow to Tottenham and Paratici.
Thomas suggested that Spurs remain big admirers of the youngster. However, he cast doubt over the likelihood of Paratici being able to bring him in in this window.
“Anthony Gordon is still a player Spurs really, really like a lot. Paratici really, really loves him. He is one of his favourite players in the Premier League that they don’t have. The problem is his valuation has not necessarily dropped really. I think it’s difficult to see in this window,” he told the Last Word on Spurs podcast.
Gordon has struggled to find the same ‘sensational‘ form he showed last season. He has scored three goals in the Premier League. But he is yet to provide an assist for Frank Lampard’s side. And actually, he has not been able to put together a lengthy run of starts.
So it is not entirely surprising that there is less speculation over his future in this window. That will partially be down to reports concerning his new contract. But his form has also been a little underwhelming.
It is interesting that Tottenham remain big admirers of Gordon. So perhaps they will be keeping a keen eye on Everton’s form in the second-half of the season ahead of the summer.
