Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil has been linked with a move away from Spurs in recent weeks.

Speculation about Gil potentially leaving Tottenham has been doing the rounds on transfer deadline day too, although admittedly it’s fizzled out somewhat this evening.

Earlier on Thursday, Feyenoord reportedly made an attempt to sign the 22-year-old Spurs ace on loan for the rest of the season.

Then, Brighton emerged as potential suitors, but then the likes of Fabrizio Romano reported that Gil wanted to stay put at Spurs rather than move.

Tottenham preparing for quick turnaround in games as Bryan Gil features prominently in training video

While the Tottenham backroom team has been working on transfers, the Spurs players and coaches have been preparing for a quick turnaround in games.

Tottenham beat Brentford 3-2 on Wednesday evening and are now preparing for their trip to Everton in Saturday’s 12:30pm kickoff.

Spurs shared a video on X of the players’ preparations at Hotspur Way, and Gil featured prominently both in the gym and in the session on the pitches.

Obviously it may just be a coincidence, but given how players gearing up for transfers tend to be excused from training or even miss matchday squads, it suggests Gil is still very much in Ange Postecoglou’s thoughts.

Gil has made just 10 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham this term, of which just two have been starts.

Admittedly, the 22-year-old missed eight games at the start of the season due to a groin problem that required surgery.

However, the fact Gil hasn’t featured much since then seemed to suggest he would’ve been more likely to get first-team football elsewhere.

Nevertheless, it looks like the Spaniard is staying, and Postecoglou will no doubt be pleased with the player’s determination to get more game time and even break into the starting XI.
