After success in the January transfer window already, Tottenham Hotspur seem keen to add further strength to their squad this month.
As well as being linked to midfielders such as Kalvin Phillips and Conor Gallagher, Spurs were also thought to want a winger this month.

Perhaps Timo Werner has now satiated that need, however the German has only joined on loan initially.
Werner seems to have six months to prove that he can be a success in the Premier League, with the jury still out following his time with Chelsea.
That being said, Tottenham are now interested in a 22-year-old who is attracting attention across all of Europe.
Real Sociedad’s Ander Barrenetxea has long been considered one of the gems of Spanish football, and his profile has now caught the eye of Ange Postecoglou.
According to The Sun, Tottenham will have scouts in the Basque country to watch tonight’s derby with Bilbao.
Postecoglou is said to liken Barrenetxea to his former player Jota – who Spurs vetoed a move for this month.
According to this report, Postecoglou has given any move the green light, even if it may mean competing with Arsenal.
Tottenham may still look to add Real Sociedad’s Ander Barrenetxea in January
It remains to be seen if Spurs would pursue any interest this month or in the summer.
But considering the growing intrigue and competition for Barrenetxea’s signature, it may be a deal that requires some haste.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that Basque-born Barrenetxea would look to leave his club in the near future.
The Sociedad winger likely feels a strong affiliation with his local side who sit sixth in La Liga at the time of writing.
It seems as if Spurs would benefit from signing both a winger and a striker in the summer to progress Postecoglou’s squad.
It might prove too much for Tottenham to add all the required profiles in January, meaning the summer could be equally as important.
Perhaps the likes of Richarlison still haven’t nailed down their long-term future with the side, he’s not always been an obvious tactical fit for Postecoglou.
But either way, the future seems bright for the club, who are still eyeing an audacious midfield signing this month too.
