Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi in recent days.

According to Italian outlet La Repubblica, Spurs have made contact with the Angers ace’s camp.

As well as Tottenham, the likes of Napoli and Leicester City are reportedly eyeing Ounahi.

Angers reportedly want to start an auction for Ounahi starting at around £31m.

And apparently, Napoli aren’t willing to spend more than around £13m.

This gives Tottenham a good chance of signing the 22-year-old.

Spurs have been below-par for much of the season and haven’t exactly hit the ground running post-World Cup.

With the January transfer window now open, Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici can now bolster their ranks.

Spurs are apparently prioritising a new right wing-back and reinforcements in attack.

Tottenham could also do with a playmaker, and Ounahi can feature at No. 10 and on the left wing.

Ounahi enjoyed a sensational World Cup as he helped Morocco reach the semi-finals.

He has also made 14 appearances for Angers this season, and 47 overall.

‘Different class’

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour recently told talkSPORT that Ounahi is “different class” and he’d “definitely” take him at the Emirates.

“I think with that performance (against France in the semis), and from what I’ve seen of him at this tournament,” he added.

“He’s not fazed by a big game, which it is for your country.

“He’s so comfortable, he’s always on the half-turn, and always looking to probe and get balls in behind the full-backs.

“But I think it was a really good performance.”

Meanwhile, former Tottenham Jose Mourinho has described Ounahi as “absolutely incredible”.

And on Twitter, fans have compared him to the likes of Santi Cazorla, Yossi Benayoun, Dani Ceballos, Yaya Toure and Jamal Musiala.
