Ounahi has definitely earned many admirers following his performances at the World Cup.
The 22-year-old started every one of Morocco’s games in Qatar, and he was absolutely incredible. He ran the show from the middle of the park and even though he didn’t score a goal or pick up an assist, he impressed everyone.
West Ham could do with a talented player like Ounahi, who has the potential to become a top midfielder in a few years’ time. However, with Mourinho seriously impressed and a number of top clubs reportedly keen, it will not be easy for the Hammers to lure him in.
It will be interesting to see what will happen with Ounahi in the January transfer window.
