Tottenham Hotspur are ‘expected’ to try and sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto this summer.

That’s according to The Sun, with the outlet claiming that Spurs are likely to compete with Arsenal for Pedro Neto’s signature.

Mikel Arteta’s men have already been heavily linked with a move for the Wolves winger and it seems that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham could throw their hat into the ring.

Arsenal’s interest in the 23-year-old is long-standing, while Spurs are also said to be admirers.

With Neto currently enjoying a brilliant campaign at Molineux, competition for his signature is set to heat up this summer.

Tottenham to rival Arsenal for Neto signing

The Sun claims that Wolves are likely to offload one of their stars this summer to fund a squad revamp.

Neto seems ‘certain’ to leave at the end of the season, with Wolves expected to demand a fee between £60 – £70 million.

It’s noted that Arsenal are long-term admirers of the winger but Spurs are now ‘expected’ to compete with their north London rivals to try and lure him to Hotspur Way.

Neto has racked up two goals and eight assists in 15 Premier League appearances for Wolves this season. The Portuguese winger was recently lauded as an ‘incredible talent’ by Micah Richards.

His ability to play for a top side has arguably never been in doubt but injuries have hampered his progress at Wolves.

Indeed, the forward has missed a total of 88 games over the past three-and-a-half years.

His injury record will undoubtedly concern the likes of Arsenal and Spurs but he remains an attractive option for both sides.

If Neto can overcome his recent struggles with injuries, he could become one of the best wide players in the Premier League.

It will be intriguing to see if Spurs or Arsenal step up their interest in him this summer. You’d imagine that Neto would have more chance of playing regularly at Tottenham due to Arteta’s brilliant duo, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
