Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is “curious to find out what’s out there,” according to The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke.
The Spurs talisman is back to his best following a difficult start to the season.
Manchester City were linked with Kane last summer. However, Daniel Levy played hardball over his signature and the player stayed put.

The England captain struggled early on in the campaign. But since Antonio Conte took the Tottenham reins, he is once again in great form.
Kane now has 22 goals and nine assists from 44 Spurs appearances this term. This includes 12 goals and eight assists in the Premier League.
“Kane is someone who they really want”
But in the latest The View from The Lane podcast, Pitt-Brooke doesn’t feel like the danger has passed for the Spurs board.
Although City seem unlikely to rekindle their interest in Kane, Manchester United apparently want to get their hands on him.
Pitt-Brooke is now also unsure about the prospect of the ‘top‘ 28-year-old penning a new deal at N17.
“I gather that after last summer City decided that they wouldn’t want to go back in for Harry Kane,” he said.
“2021 was their window for trying to sign Kane and they had a quick look in 2020.
“But I think the view at City is that by the time of the summer of 2022, Harry Kane will be turning 29 years old and they wouldn’t want to throw their money and don’t want to get involved in another scrap with Daniel Levy every week.
“They are happy to pay the money but they want to get it done early.
“Clearly, City is off the table for Kane. I think the only real interest in Kane this summer is from Manchester United. I think United want Kane regardless of who the manager is, even regardless of the Ronaldo situation.

“United have decided that Kane is someone who they really want.
“From Kane’s own perspective, United is less attractive than City and he’s enjoying playing from Conte. But let’s say he’d be curious to find out what’s out there.
“I used to think he would sign a new contract at the end of this season, I’m now not so sure about this.”
Pitt-Brooke then finished on a positive note for Tottenham fans.
“The only thing that matters is this. There is no chance that Daniel Levy sells him to anyone, and certainly not to a United side who finish below them.”
